The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) are currently offering home owner grants of up to €3000 for a PV solar panel installation.
The following stipulations apply:
- The dwelling must be built and occupied before 2011
- SEAI have not previously provided support for solar PV system at that address
- The homes energy performance following installation of solar panels must be BER C or better
- You must apply for the grant before any work commences and get pre-approved by the SEAI for your grant application. It only takes a few minutes online and then we complete all your paperwork and submit to the SEAI for you. https://www.seai.ie/grants/home-energy-grants/solar-electricity-grant/
The SEAI grants available, depending on system size are as follows:
- €900 per kWp up to 2 kWp
And - €600 for the installation of a battery storage system
If you do install a battery you are entitled to an additional €300 for every additional kWp up to 4 kWp
